Zoo Med Aviansun Deluxe Floor Lamp – 26 Watt

The Zoo Med Aviansun Deluxe Floor Lamp is a specialized lighting fixture designed for bird keepers to provide their birds with full spectrum light, including UVB and UVA, mimicking their natural environment. The lamp comes with an adjustable gooseneck, allowing you to direct the light as needed.

Please note that the bulb is sold separately, and you will need to purchase Zoo Med’s AvianSun 5.0 UVB Compact Fluorescent Lamp (Item # AS-C5) to use with this fixture.

The combination of UVB and UVA light is essential for the physical and psychological health of birds. UVB enables birds to synthesize vitamin D3, which is crucial for proper calcium metabolism, normal growth, maintenance of strong bones, and egg production. UVA light is visible to birds and helps them recognize mates, locate food, and identify different species. Without UVA, birds may become essentially colorblind.

The lamp stands approximately 71-72 inches high when fully extended, providing ample coverage for your feathered friends.
